India has become the world's second-largest mobile manufacturer, with electronics production increasing sixfold. This growth is attributed to the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, which has attracted significant investment, created over 1.3 lakh jobs in the last five years, and boosted electronics exports eightfold. The country is also developing its component manufacturing and semiconductor sectors, with approved applications indicating substantial investment and job creation, signaling strong industry confidence.
