The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will increase fees for certain immigration applications starting January 1, 2026, due to inflation adjustments. Applications postmarked on or after this date will require the updated fee. While most fees are rising, the initial asylum application fee and the renewal fee for asylum applicant employment authorization will remain unchanged. The Department of Homeland Security plans to adjust these fees annually for inflation going forward.
