Arunachal Pradesh Advances 33 Hydropower Projects Totaling 19,165 MW Capacity

Arunachal Pradesh is developing 33 hydropower projects with a combined capacity of 19,165 MW, according to the state's hydropower department. Currently, five projects are operational, including Dikshi (24 MW) and Kameng (600 MW). North Eastern Electric Power Corporation leads with 11 projects, three commissioned. The Dibang Multipurpose Project (2,880 MW) will be the largest upon completion. The Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project (2,000 MW) is nearing completion, with units being commissioned sequentially and full operation expected by December 2026.
