
Great Eastern Shipping Company has agreed to acquire a secondhand 2014-built Japanese Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier of approximately 81,094 deadweight tonnage, expected to join its fleet by Q1 FY27. The acquisition, financed entirely from internal accruals, aims to expand the company's fleet, which currently includes 41 vessels with near full capacity utilization. The company recently reported a 36.9% rise in consolidated net profit for Q3 FY26 and plans to sell one Very Large Gas Carrier by Q4 FY26.
