Western Coalfields Discovers Eight Rare Earth Elements and Critical Minerals in Maharashtra Mines

Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has discovered eight significant rare earth elements and critical minerals across six of its mines in Maharashtra. These include Potash, Tellurium, Titanium, Lanthanum, Cerium, Rhenium, Selenium, and Zirconium, which have diverse industrial applications ranging from agriculture and renewable energy to aerospace and electronics. WCL is exploring diversification into critical mineral mining, potentially enhancing India's strategic mineral resources and creating new revenue opportunities.
