Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd has secured a 150 MW 300 MW battery energy storage project in Kalikiri, Andhra Pradesh. This project is a component of Andhra Pradesh's larger plan to install 1,000 MW 2,000 MWh of battery storage systems to improve grid stability and enable on-demand power. The project will operate under a Build-Own-Operate model with Viability Gap Funding.
