Three police inspectors in Bengaluru have been suspended for negligence following a large inter-State drug seizure. The Maharashtra Anti-Narcotics Task Force, Bengaluru Police, and Narcotics Control Department coordinated the operation. Separately, a journalist has been booked for extortion, accused of demanding money from the suspended inspectors by threatening to link them to the drug racket. Police cited failure to gather intelligence as the reason for suspension.
