Delhi's Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant has seen a record number of bodies recovered this year, with 35 found so far, the highest in four years. Police attribute this to the Munak Canal, which transports water from Haryana and often carries bodies from that region and parts of Delhi. Many bodies are decomposed and unidentified upon arrival. While some deaths are due to natural causes, drowning, or suicide, others are linked to homicides. Authorities are increasing surveillance at the plant.
