Passenger Booked for Smoking Beedi on Delhi-Goa Akasa Air Flight

A passenger named Ashish was booked for allegedly smoking a beedi inside the lavatory of Akasa Air flight QP1625 from Delhi to Goa on March 7. The passenger was also found with a lighter, which posed a safety risk. Police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against Safety of Civil Aviation Act. Akasa Air confirmed the incident, stating its crew followed protocols and handed the individual to authorities upon arrival, cooperating fully with the investigation.
