
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against two LIC officers, C Kadam and M Patil, from Aurangabad for allegedly demanding a Rs 4 lakh bribe to settle death claims totaling Rs 40 lakh. The complaint was filed by a family member after the officers reportedly sought the amount via WhatsApp following the accidental death of the policyholder. The officers face charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Corruption Act, with the CBI conducting verification in the presence of witnesses.
