Police have arrested two men, Ankush Dagdu Kachare and Ganesh Bhambu Kachare, in connection with a December 26 armed robbery at Vaishnavi Jewellers in Khanapur. The accused, along with three minors taken into custody, allegedly stole gold ornaments and cash. Authorities recovered approximately 70.32 lakh worth of gold and a weapon used in the crime. One of the arrested men has prior criminal cases. The suspects were remanded to police custody until January 5.
