A Kollam court granted statutory bail to former Thiruvabharanam Commissioner K S Baiju in the Sabarimala gold loss case after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) failed to file a charge sheet within 90 days of his arrest. Baiju, the seventh accused in the Dwarapalaka case, had earlier received bail in a related case involving gold loss from the Sreekovil doorframes. The SIT plans to file charge sheets in both cases by March 31. Another accused, Govardhan Roddam, has also sought bail.
