Delhi Police arrested eight individuals linked to an interstate cybercrime syndicate operating from Delhi to Uttar Pradesh, controlled remotely by China-based operators. The group used mule bank accounts to launder proceeds from cyber fraud, converting funds into USDT cryptocurrency via platforms like KuCoin and Binance. The operation, initiated after a Tamil Nadu victim's complaint, uncovered 85 mule accounts tied to over 600 cybercrime reports. Authorities seized cash, mobile phones, SIM cards, and debit cards while investigations continue to identify victims and trace the money flow.
