Villupuram district police have enhanced surveillance by installing 14 high-resolution CCTV cameras at key junctions and national highway networks within a 20 km radius. An additional 86 cameras cover approach roads. These cameras, linked to a new Police Control Room at the Integrated Collectorate, will aid in effective investigations and traffic violation enforcement, including offenses like red-light jumping and speeding. The system aims to improve crime prevention and detection.
