Delhi Woman Escapes Alleged Sexual Assault by Taxi Driver Near Nainital

A 22-year-old woman from Delhi alleged that a taxi driver attempted to sexually assault her near Nainital after she hired the taxi from Haldwani around midnight. The driver, reportedly intoxicated, diverted the route and stopped the vehicle. The woman escaped, hid overnight in a nearby forest, and raised an alarm the next morning. Police have registered a case, conducted a spot inspection, and are searching for the unidentified driver while the woman underwent medical examination.
