
On January 5, in Ludhiana, four men, including a security guard with a criminal background and three others, were arrested for robbing a driver carrying 30,000 Canadian dollars (around 20 lakh). The accused, some of whom are former servicemen, posed as police officials to intercept the driver near the Verka Milk Plant, threatening him and fleeing with the cash in a vehicle. Police recovered the stolen amount and weapons, while one accomplice remains at large as investigations continue.
