Delhi Police Arrest Over 800 in 48-Hour Operation Targeting Drugs and Crime
Delhi Police conducted Operation Kavach 14.0, a 48-hour city-wide crackdown from June 22 to 24, targeting drug trafficking, illegal arms, bootlegging, and organized crime. The operation involved 4,035 raids across all 15 districts, resulting in over 800 arrests, including 255 drug offenders. Authorities registered 212 NDPS cases, seized more than 237 kg of ganja, heroin, cocaine, and other narcotics, along with cash and illicit liquor. Additional arrests included illegal arms holders, bootleggers, gamblers, and proclaimed offenders, reflecting a broad enforcement effort.
