Punjab and Haryana HC Seeks Report on Mohali Daylight Shooting and Court Assault Case

The Punjab and Haryana High Court expressed concern over a daylight shooting near the Mohali SSP office on January 28, in which one person was killed. Despite identifying two shooters, arrests have not been made, though two other accused are in custody. The court granted the state five days to report on the investigation. It also highlighted delayed action in a July 2025 incident where a police officer allegedly assaulted a court employee and entered court premises without authorization, with FIR registration occurring only after judicial intervention.
