Delhi Man Killed and Dismembered; Four Arrested in Connection with Murder

A Delhi man, Anroop Gupta, who ran a canteen at Chhattisgarh Sadan, was killed on February 18 by a friend, Happy alias Suraj, and his associates over a dispute involving gold ornaments and money. After beating and stabbing Gupta, the accused dismembered his body, packed the parts in plastic bags, and disposed of them in the Yamuna River near Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. Four people, including a woman, were arrested. The suspects attempted to mislead investigators by sending messages from Gupta's phone and hiding his SUV. The case emerged after Gupta's family reported him missing on February 23.
