
A 48-year-old Delhi businessman, Anroop Gupta, who ran a canteen at Chhattisgarh Sadan in Dwarka, was murdered on February 18 by his friend Happy alias Suraj and associates over demands for money and gold ornaments. After assaulting Gupta and retrieving his gold from his SUV, the accused killed him, dismembered his body with a machete, and disposed of the parts in the Yamuna River near Vrindavan. Four suspects, including a woman, have been arrested, while one remains at large. Police uncovered the crime following a missing person report and investigation involving CCTV footage and mobile phone messages sent to mislead relatives and staff.
