
Authorities at Indira Gandhi International Airport seized undeclared foreign currency and luxury items worth Rs 5.42 crore from a female passenger holding a US passport arriving from Hong Kong. The seized goods included 1.2 kg of gold and diamond items, 10 kg of silver utensils, luxury watches from brands like Rolex and Cartier, and foreign currency totaling over USD 9,000. Domestically procured gold of 552 grams was not seized. The passenger was arrested under the Customs Act for violating declaration rules.
