Fire Engulfs Three Shops on Kolkata's Ganguly Street; Cause Under Investigation

A major fire broke out on Ganguly Street in Kolkata on Wednesday morning, engulfing three shops and damaging nearby areas, including a residential premise. Fire services deployed around ten fire engines to control the blaze, which lasted nearly two hours. Officials, including fire officer Sudipto B, stated the cause remains unknown pending forensic investigation. The fire caused panic among residents and shop owners but no casualties were reported. Separately, a minor fire at BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad's residence in New Delhi was quickly controlled without damage.
