Class 10 Student Assaulted on School Bus in Meerut; Police Investigate Incident

On Wednesday, six youths on two motorcycles intercepted a school bus near Hajipur village on the Meerut-Hapur road, assaulting a Class 10 student named Jatin who was returning from a CBSE exam. The attackers attempted to shoot him with a country-made pistol, which misfired, then struck him with the weapon's butt, causing serious injuries. A case has been filed against two named suspects and four unidentified individuals. Police are investigating, with prior enmity among students considered a possible motive.
