Copper Cable Worth Rs 6.79 Lakh Stolen from MSETCL Substation in Bhandup

In Mumbai's Bhandup area, unidentified individuals stole 46 pieces of high-tension copper cable worth Rs 6.79 lakh from a Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) substation warehouse. The theft occurred around February 19-21, with intruders entering the premises twice. Security guards alerted authorities after spotting suspicious activity, leading to a police case and ongoing investigation using CCTV footage. This theft is reportedly part of a series of recent cable thefts in the city.
