A block pramukh and an ex-MP have been booked in Lucknow following a clash with residents over the construction of a wall. The block pramukh, accompanied by armed men and a government gunner, allegedly threatened residents protesting the wall, which they claim blocked a road. One resident was reportedly assaulted and subjected to casteist abuses. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law, and the local SHO has been transferred.
