Maharashtra Police uncovered three mephedrone manufacturing units on the outskirts of Bengaluru, seizing narcotics valued at over ₹55.88 crore. In response, Karnataka authorities suspended three police inspectors for dereliction of duty. Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar stated that Karnataka Police also participated in the operation, downplayed the value of the seized drugs, and described the locations as godowns rather than manufacturing units. This incident follows a similar drug bust by Maharashtra Police in Mysuru in July 2025.
