Maharashtra Teacher Arrested for Assaulting Students Over Motorcycle Damage Suspicion

In Latur, Maharashtra, teacher Ujjwal Prakash Soni was arrested for allegedly assaulting around 30 to 32 students at Christ International School after suspecting them of damaging his motorcycle's bent number plate. The incident occurred on the night of February 21 in the school hostel, where students sustained injuries from a bamboo stick. The school principal, Zeba Nadar, suspended the teacher, filed a police complaint, and emphasized student safety. Legal action has been initiated under relevant laws, including the Juvenile Justice Act.
