
Mumbai Police have intensified anti-drug operations, seizing 17.25 kilograms of narcotics worth Rs 7.14 crore and arresting 85 individuals in January alone across 69 cases. Over the past four years, authorities registered 4,560 cases, confiscated 10,866 kilograms of drugs valued at Rs 6,738 crore, and arrested 5,589 people. Seized substances include ganja, Mephedrone, heroin, charas, and cocaine. Police efforts involve monitoring darknet activities and decoding traffickers' coded language to disrupt drug syndicates and raise public awareness.
