In Khetia, Madhya Pradesh, a man who reported his pickup truck stolen was later found to be the accused in the case. Vinod Waskle had claimed his vehicle was stolen on December 25. However, an investigation involving CCTV footage and cyber cell revealed that Waskle had orchestrated the theft himself. He had allegedly pledged the vehicle in Mortalai while retaining a spare key. Police recovered the truck, arrested Waskle, and advised citizens to be cautious when pledging vehicles.
