Kerala Police Register Cases Over Assault Linked to MLA's Facebook Comment

In Manjeri, Kerala, police registered cases against Ameer, son of MLA U.A. Latheef, and six others for allegedly assaulting Kooliyodan Latheef, who had posted a critical comment on the MLA's Facebook page regarding a road project. The incident occurred on March 3 night, resulting in injuries and property damage. A counter-case was also filed against MLA Latheef for allegedly attacking Ameer and his group with a knife. Investigations, including CCTV review, are ongoing with no arrests yet.
