A 43-year-old man in Pune's Maval Tehsil died by suicide by jumping into the Indrayani River, reportedly due to financial distress and debt. Before taking the drastic step, he met his father, informed his brother he was committing suicide, and called his wife, advising her to remove her bindi, signifying widowhood. Authorities have filed an Accidental Death Report, and investigations are ongoing into the financial pressures that led to the incident.
