A U.S. judge has preliminarily approved a $35 million settlement between Jeffrey Epstein's estate and accusers in a 2024 lawsuit targeting Epstein's former personal lawyer and accountant. The lawsuit alleges they aided Epstein's sex trafficking by facilitating financial schemes. Epstein's estate has previously paid over $170 million in settlements and restitution to victims. The judge scheduled a final approval hearing for September 16. Lawyers for the executors deny any admission of misconduct.
