
Police in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli seized over 710 cartons of Indian-made Foreign Liquor worth approximately Rs 1.20 crore, intended for smuggling into Bihar where alcohol is banned. Two individuals, including the truck driver Ali Bakhsh and another accused, Murtaz Ansari, were arrested. The liquor was concealed behind sacks of putty in a truck intercepted near Barthi Kamarour on National Highway-19. Legal action is ongoing under relevant laws.
