Panchkula Police Arrest Auto Driver in Hit-and-Run Death of Retired Lieutenant General

Police in Panchkula arrested Om Prakash, an auto-rickshaw driver from Rajasthan, in connection with the hit-and-run death of retired Lieutenant General Kulwant Singh Mann on January 9. The incident occurred near Mansa Devi Complex when Lt Gen Mann was walking with a domestic help's daughter. Despite initial challenges due to limited CCTV coverage, police used nearby footage and mobile tracking to identify and apprehend the accused. The case was registered following a complaint by the victim's wife, and authorities plan to enhance road safety measures in the area.
