A CBI court in Chandigarh has rejected the bail plea of suspended Punjab Police DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, arrested in an alleged bribery and corruption case. Bhullar's counsel argued that the challan was filed and investigation complete, but the prosecution contended he could influence witnesses. Bhullar was arrested in October 2025 for allegedly demanding gratification to settle an FIR. Recoveries from his residence included significant cash, gold, and property documents. Previous bail attempts and challenges to CBI jurisdiction have also been unsuccessful.
