An NRI man, Harpinder Singh alias Sonu, died in Punjab's Firozepur district after a loaded pistol holstered at his waist accidentally discharged as he stood up from a sofa. The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred on Monday. He was recently returned from abroad, newly married, and had a two-year-old daughter. Police are investigating the accidental firing under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. His funeral was attended by villagers and Aam Aadmi Party members.
