Five Arrested for Abduction and Gang Rape in Kerala Lodge Incident
Police in Thrissur, Kerala, have arrested five individuals accused of abducting a woman and her male friend from a lodge on September 22. The gang, reportedly posing as police officers, tied and forcibly took the couple away. The man was assaulted, sustaining multiple fractures, and abandoned near a hospital in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu. The woman was allegedly gang-raped after being moved to another vehicle. Authorities suspect the attack was arranged based on information from the man's wife.
