Visakhapatnam Police Arrest 76 in 45 Property Offences, Recover Over ₹1 Crore Stolen Goods

In January 2026, Visakhapatnam police arrested 76 individuals linked to 45 property offences out of 69 reported cases. They recovered stolen property worth approximately ₹1.02 crore, including gold, silver, cash, motorcycles, and 420 missing mobiles. The police used technical methods and special teams for investigations. Preventive measures included 364 crime awareness meetings, special patrolling, and drone surveillance in crime-prone areas, as stated by Commissioner Shankabratha Bagchi.
