In Manipur, security forces seized 1,60,000 Yaba tablets valued at approximately Rs 40 crore in Jiribam on December 24, apprehending one individual. The seized drugs were handed over to Jiribam police for further investigation. In a separate incident in Imphal West district, two individuals, including a cadre of a banned outfit, were arrested with ammunition and explosives. These operations occur amidst ongoing search operations in the state, which has experienced ethnic violence since May 2023, resulting in numerous casualties and displacement.
