The Mumbai Zonal Unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) reported seizing approximately 5,560 kgs of narcotics and psychotropic substances in 2025 across 24 cases, leading to 51 arrests. The agency also froze assets valued at around Rs 18 crores linked to drug trafficking. Operations neutralized several drug networks, including those involved in international trafficking and synthetic drug operations. A clandestine Ketamine laboratory was busted in Raigad, and significant quantities of substances like Mephedrone and Chloral Hydrate were seized.
