In Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district, police recovered two bodies: a partially burnt young woman found in a forest near the Odisha border, and an elderly woman with her throat slit in a nearby village. The young woman's identity remains unknown, with investigations considering possible cross-border origins and motives. The elderly woman, Subhashini Nayak, was found in a paddy field, with police investigating potential links to witchcraft suspicions. Both bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations.
