Two youths in Mumbai were allegedly cheated of Rs 23.43 lakh by Himanshu Mohan Mishra, who promised supervisor jobs in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's water department. The accused, claiming to be a BMC staffer, received payments through bank transfers and cash, and provided fake joining letters and identity cards. When the victims sought refunds, Mishra issued cheques from his brother's account, which later bounced. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
