
In Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district, farmer Sumer Singh was murdered in a plot allegedly orchestrated by his wife, Renu Devi, and her female partner, Malti Devi. The two reportedly conspired to kill Singh after he discovered their same-sex relationship, hiring contract killers for Rs 60,000 with an advance of Rs 8,000. Singh's body was found in a pigeon pea field with his throat slit. Police have arrested three suspects, while two remain at large, recovering weapons and mobile phones linked to the case.
