Punjab High Court Notices CBI on DIG Bhullar's Bail Plea and Account Unfreezing Request

The Punjab and Haryana High Court issued a notice to the CBI regarding suspended DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar's plea for regular bail, scheduling the next hearing for February 9. Bhullar argued that investigations concluded with the final report filed in December 2025 and claimed prolonged custody was unjustified. Separately, Bhullar sought unfreezing of 10 bank accounts belonging to his father and daughter, alleging the CBI froze them without court permission during the trap case investigation. The court has asked the CBI to respond by February 6.
