The CBI has arrested a Deputy Commissioner and two superintendents of CGST in Jhansi, along with an advocate and a businessman, for allegedly accepting a Rs 70 lakh bribe. The bribe was reportedly the first installment of a Rs 1.50 crore demand to settle tax evasion cases against the businessman's firms. CBI raids in connection with the case have so far seized Rs 1.60 crore in cash and other assets.
