A 33-year-old man, Vadla Santhosh, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Fast Track Special Court in Rajendranagar for the 2016 rape and murder of a nine-year-old boy in Moinabad. The court also imposed a ₹21,000 fine. Santhosh was arrested in 2016 after the boy went missing and his body was found in a water tank. He was convicted under the POCSO Act and IPC sections for kidnapping, murder, sexual assault, and causing disappearance of evidence.
