Mohammad Asad, a 62-year-old businessman and father of an Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in Bulandshahr, was shot dead in Moradabad while en route to evening prayers. Police suspect his brother-in-law, Jafar Hussain, a history-sheeter with an extortion complaint filed against him last month, as the main accused. The attack occurred near Bangla Gaon Chauraha when two men on a motorcycle intercepted Asad and his brother-in-law Mujahid. Authorities are investigating possible family disputes and extortion motives.
