
Udupi police have invoked the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act (KCOCA) against six individuals accused in the murder of transport operator Saifuddin. The accused, with criminal histories, face enhanced investigation periods and potential property attachment. While five have been arrested, efforts are underway to apprehend the prime accused who reportedly fled abroad. The investigation is being led by the Udupi Deputy Superintendent of Police and will be tried in a special KCOCA court.
