Haryana police have arrested Sandeep alias Sunny, 22, from Sangrur, Punjab, in connection with a Pakistani espionage and terror funding case in the Mewat region. Sandeep is accused of receiving Rs 50,000 from the main accused, Rizwan, allegedly linked to a foreign drug network operating through hawala channels. Police state Sandeep has prior NDPS cases, and his family is allegedly involved in the drug trade. This marks the eighth arrest in the case, which began with Rizwan's apprehension in November for alleged spying and funding anti-national activities.
