Retired Kerala Sub-Inspector Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of Minor
A retired sub-inspector, E. Gopinathan (62), was arrested in Pariyaram, Kannur, Kerala, for allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The incident occurred when the girl visited his house and later disclosed the assault to her parents after feeling unwell. Police registered a case based on the girl's statement, and Gopinathan was taken into custody and will be presented in court.
